Our laboratory has great projects available
for postdoctoral scientists, graduate students, undergraduate researchers and technical personnel.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: TECHNICAL STAFF POSITION
We are currently looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our research group studying the regulation of telomerase in cancer cells. A degree in the biological sciences, excellent organizational skills, and experience in molecular biology, human cell culture or microscopy are required. We will provide stimulating work and great colleagues.
Please contact us at mterns(at)bmb.uga.edu for further information.
POSTDOCTORAL SCIENTISTS We have positions available for postdoctoral researchers interested in the function of non-coding RNA-protein complexes. NIH-funded projects include telomerase in normal and cancer cells, and structure and function of RNPs that guide RNA modification in archaea. Strong scientific thinking and communication skills are required, and
experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, human cell culture or microscopy is desirable.
Please contact us at mterns(at)bmb.uga.edu for further information.
GRADUATE STUDENTS
We train graduate students in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and the Department of Genetics at the University of Georgia. If you are a student in one of these programs and interested in our research, please contact us to learn more about our laboratory. If you are not a UGA student you can apply to the graduate program through the Department web sites (click above).
RESEARCH STAFF
We have positions available for researchers with experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell culture, or microscopy. Please contact us for further information.
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
We offer undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in our research through the 4960 series of courses in undergraduate research at UGA. Preference is given to individuals who are responsible, organized, and committed to working at least 15 hours per week for 3 semesters. Please contact us 2 months prior to the semester in which you would like to begin.
